Madonna (aka Sydney)

The gals at the shelter asked us to send pics and periodically update you on how she’s doing. Here are a couple of pics of her in her new sweater and bed on the first day we brought her home as well as a pic of her brother Buddy who is always snoozing in his bed. We had Buddy (a mamas boy) for several years and my hubby decided he needed a dog and Buddy needed a friend, so we adopted Madonna.

We renamed her to Sydney. My husband loved the name and since she was kept with Sydney, we figured she would respond well to the name. She has certainly done that. She is such a lover and is getting along famously with Buddy. We’ve noticed an extra spring in his step since getting her and I think it is because he was lonely for a playmate. They play and romp around the house and are such a true joy. They go for long walks at night and on the weekends and love to go to my mom’s house and play with her little Yorkie.

Thank you again for all that you do and for allowing us to take home such a precious dog. We will send more pics when we have them and hopefully, she won’t look so scared.

George

Hi Morgan,

I just wanted you to know that George is indeed in his forever home!
He did GREAT on the five hour car ride.  He is doing great inside the home and on our walks.
One little issue is that he wants to “play” with my cat…hopefully that calms down soon!  Not sure how to correct that behavior.
I will send pictures soon.  We took a lot yesterday and I want to take some more tonight.

Thanks again for all the work you do!

***********

Hi Morgan,

I wanted to send you a couple of these pictures of George.  These were taken by a local artist, and I am having one (the second one you will see) made into a nice 8×11.

George is doing fabulously.  He and my cat are still “at-odds” a bit…constantly playing at all hours!!!  He chases Figgy and Figgy chases him.  I can’t wait until that settles down because I need my sleep!

He is the best in his training class, although he gets distracted easily.  This morning on our walk, I put him in a sit stay while a man ran past us.  When the man was about right next to us, George got up and tried to run with him!

He is obsessed by the tennis ball.  He loves those slings.  He went to the ocean for the first time last week.  I had him on an extending leash.  This woman past by with one of those slingers in her hand.  He yanked the leash out from my hand and tried to steal the sling from her.  He is very harmless, but still a little ornery!!

He is receiving much love and belly rubs.

Thank you for all the work you do!

Zeus (aka Jackson)

Hi, Morgan…we finally transferred these to my computer so I couls send them.  You can see how much he has grown in the past two months.  He makes himself quite comfortable on the furniture!  He is a great dog and a wonderful addition to our family.

Kallie (aka Tallulah)

Hi Morgan,

Just wanted to write and let you know how great little Kallie is doing.  Her new name is Tallulah, we figured for a little dog she needed a big name, and I swear she’s so smart she already knows what it is.
She’s getting along great with her sister Sierra and loves nothing better then to play all day long and fall asleep cuddles up with her dad on the couch. She is such a sweetie pie!
We are still working on playing nice with  the kitties…there’s been some chasing and barking but they give her attitude right back so I think in a while when they sort it out everything be fine!   I attached some pictures too!  Thanks again for everything we just love her to pieces already!
You guys have such a wonderful rescue program, thanks for all you do!!!
Love,
Heather, Scott and Miss Tallulah Rose  :)

Bo Duke (aka Beau)

Hi Morgan,

I just wanted to give you an update on Beau (I changed the spelling :) .  He is doing great!  He loves going on walks, lounging on the couch and playing with his stuffed animals!  He’s a wonderful dog and I feel truly lucky that I was able to adopt him into my family!

Also, I wanted to double-check on the date that I need to have his stitches removed.  His cyst was removed on January 20th, so what date did you say I should take him to the vet?  I just want to make sure they’re in long enough before I go! :)

PS-I attached a few pics of Beau in his new home.  :)

Thanks,

Tina
