Nora

I’ll have Nora for one month tomorrow
She is make such beautiful progress - slow but beautiful
What a little love she is and she’s gotten so tall - all legs

Every morning she jumps up & places her front paws on my bed & licks me
for 10 minutes until the other bigger dogs take her place
She is so cute

She is still so timid but no longer shakes like when I first brought her
home. She eats very well & is finally playing with the other dogs
outside.
The other day she found a peach pit in the yard and ran around tossing
it up in the air and playing with it all by herself.

I still haven’t gotten her to take any food treats from my hand but
she’s starting to get more brazen when I’m giving treats to the others.

I hope someday she’ll come around & be totally like the others.

Just thought you might like to know.
Regards
Laraine

Olive

Olive is doing great! She is a bundle of joy (and energy.) She loves
to cuddle with us and play with her kongs and has made a lot of dog
friends in our neighborhood.  We go to doggie play group just about
every morning.  All the wind we’ve had has blown down lots of sticks
from the old oak in the backyard and Olive will try to chew up sticks
bigger than she is. She also dove into a pond with a friend’s dog this
weekend and had a grand ol’ time (She enjoyed the bath that followed
slightly less- but was a good sport about it) She is a star at
obedience class, smart and eager to please.

We think she makes a great family member and she seems to feel the
same about us.

Hope all is well.

Shira

Toby

Just wanted to let everyone know that Toby has settled
into his new home.  He loves his new buddy Barb
(Golden Retriever).   When they are playing, Toby will
jump on the bed and when Barb comes near he will jump
onto her back. It’s pretty funny to watch.  He also
hides underneath her and she walks around in circles
looking for him.
He is a very sweet dog and actually enjoys being held
now.

major

Major has become a true member of our family.  It’s hard to believe that we’ve only had him two weeks.
He runs around with him every morning for at least an hour and they both love it.  Comet is a bit pudgy so Major likes to do a “Mad Scat” around him, I’m sure he’s saying “nah nah you can’t catch me!”.
Major is doing happy dog things around the house like chasing his tail (now that it’s out from between his legs), barking at the mail man, hiding all of his toys and bones and generally being silly.  I actually returned the crate I had purchased, we’re able to leave him loose in the house when we’re out and I’m pretty sure he just sleeps.  He’s made some pretty cool discoveries:  they give biscuits at the drive up bank teller, ham at the local Dunkin Donuts and really good treats and the Pet Supply store!
Major’s ability to give in to his curiosity and not his fear is amazing and most of the credit for that should go to his foster mom, Kris.  You did a wonderful job helping him adjust to “the good life”.
He is a wonderful companion and watches over every member of this family which is sweet and shows me that he’s happy here.
Thank you all for the your part in joining Major with my family.  We are all very happy!
