Gizmo aka Ginger

Gizmo (a.k.a Ginger) has turned out to be a wonderful addition to our family. We consider ourselves fortunate to have her. She is a great companion to my 74 y.o. mother and she adores my children as well. Once we discovered the miracle of the electric fence, she has the entire yard to herself to get her exercise and chase squirrels in between being spoiled by my mother. Everyone always comments on how cute she is and asks us of her breed, which as far as we can tell is part Sheltie and/or Corgi. We’ve been tempted to make something up and call her a purebred “Tennessee Terrier” or something like that. At any rate, she is a great dog, and we can’t thank you enough. Hope all is well with the mission. Sorry I haven’t written sooner, but I wanted some pics better than the attached one to send along and still don’t have a decent digital camera to take one with.

Sincerely,
Jeff Risley

Blondie

Blondie is doing wonderfully. She is slowly adapting to a house with children. We took her for walks on the beach this weekend and she is beginning to like it. Everything is taking her a bit of time to get used to. I wanted to send you a picture of her with the kids as she has made them incredibly happy.

Finny aka Daisy

Thank you very much for helping us get Finny (formerly Daisy). She is a delight. A wonderful puppy who has likes nothing better than to be with her people, chew her squeaky cow and even wait patiently with the cat while the humans prepare a meal for them. I can’t say enough good about this little dog.

Kira

She is a great dog. She has kept us quite busy getting her adjusted, and now it seems like she has always been here. She slept through the night although the crate was not what she had in mind. Eventually she settled on the rug in the room next to the bedroom. She does love her raw hide chews and sits at our feet chomping away. She took me for a walk today….it sure was fast paced. Jane was surprised by her arrival in the bed after I got up…..she sure does love to be around people. We look forward to many fun-filled years with her. Thanks for bringing her up so well.

Chloe aka Duchess

Chloe is doing really well, she fits in great with our family. She is 8 months old now, and is allready 68 pounds!! Very tall and leggy, looks just like a black lab except for her little tail that curls over her back. She was very easy to crate train and was housebroken totally in about 2 months after we got her. Our only issue with her was that at about 6 months she started to develop some stranger anxiety. We had some episodes of growling at strangers, and at the vet. So we started classes with her at the canine academy, part of the Monadnock Humane Society. She has just finished a good manners class and is going to start the “growly dog class”, allthough just being around other people and dogs in her good manners class has made a huge difference. No more growling so far!! She would just LOVE to be friends with our cat, but the cat has decided that she will never love Chloe and tries to avoid her, but they do fine. She doesn’t have the typical lab puppy hyperness, we take a 4 mile walk every morning, even in the recent below zero weather, she was waiting for her walk!! Other than that she prefers to be in the house with the kids, plunked down on the floor. I just wanted to give you an update. Thanks!!
