Molly aka Ellie

Update 2/24/07: It’s been three months since we adopted Molly and she has been just a joy to us. I thought that you might like to see pictures of her graduation for Manners School. She didn’t like the cap much at all, because she is sort of a “tomboy” little girl, just like we wanted her to be. She is all personality, but quite well behaved when she has to be! She just doesn’t like “dress-up” very much.
Well, anyway, I just wanted to let you know that it is happy tails here at the Luther household, and Molly is the reason we smile so much of the time. You and your fellow foster moms/rescuers at Pet Matchmakers should feel very proud of what you do and be encouraged to keep up the good works.
Thanks Again for Matching Us!

Thank you for helping dogs and people find each other. We absolutely adore Molly. She has even become sort of a therapy dog. My husband, Bill, sort of takes care of an elderly couple up the street from us. They live alone and are into their late 80s with no family, so he drives them places and checks in now and again to help with odds and end. They had a little dog years ago, but can’t have one now because the man has macular degeneration and is going blind. Well about 2 times per week Bill and Molly go up to see them and they just love her! She seems to know just how to ingratiate herself to each of them in a different way. They just love her and were delighted when they received a bowl after buying some cereal at the grocery store, because they have given it to Molly as a Christmas present. She is such a smart little girl and so lovable! She is a bit of a clown also and I’ve attached some pictures to show you what I mean. Anyone who ever knew her would enjoy them I think, especially picture 3.

Thank you again for all you do. You can be sure that I will refer any one of my friends who are looking for a new family member to Pet Matchmakers! You are the makers of ‘happy tails”!

Angel

I’d like to thank you for being truly wonderful people. My wife and I know how much effort, both physical AND mental is required to work with these lost little souls, so we really appreciate your dedication. We almost feel guilty because we are SO happy with Angel, she’s absolutley perfect! I think she must have been dear to someone (maybe an older person?) because she’s so affectionate, calm and trusting. She knew EXACTLY what the couch was for and has been on it mostly since we brought her home. We decided to put her right onto an adult dry food being she hadn’t eaten a whole lot of the puppy food anyway. We gave her ~ 1/3 cup and added about two tbsp. of “Pedigree- little champs” pouch food and a little warm water to lossen it up a bit – she ate it all in about an hour. She peed a few times and pooped this morning, so everything seems to be ‘working’ okay. She doesn’t have any issues with the cats (the cats are still a little leary…but they’ll come around) and she LOVES Lily (our daughter), as well us -she’s just such a perfect little girl. She hasn’t barked yet, but she did whimper a bit (~30 seconds) after we turned off the lights last night. Also, she’s not too fond of the vacuum, but that’s okay – we only do that maybe once a week for about 5 minutes… So again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, our home feels more ‘complete’ again with our new Angel with us. I guess once you become “dog-people”, your home just isn’t complete without one!

Sadie aka Gertie

Sadie is great! She fit right in immediately! She is a great dog, and I got very lucky! She fits right in with the other dogs and loves to play with them. The pure bred Shepard at my family’s house is a little too big for her right now, he is 7 months old and 100 pounds! He is too much of a puppy still and doesn’t know to play easy! I have already taught Sadie to sit and give paw…she is very intelligent. I have a ton of pictures but I still have to down load them. I am in the process of buying a house with a nice big yard, I have been very busy! She also made it to her first vet appointment as well.
Everything is going great!

Thanks again,
Rich

Lucy aka Orielle

Just wanted to send along some pictures of Orielle, although we have renamed her Lucy. She seems to be adjusting well to our home and family. She is such a good pup, very loving and cuddly. Thank you so much for bringing Lucy to us, she is the perfect addition to our family!

Have a wonderful holiday…
